Welcome to St. Joseph School!

We seek to provide excellence in Catholic education by forming the uniqueness of each child for life-long discipleship and dedicated leadership in the Church, community and the world. Originally staffed by the Daughters of Charity, St. Joseph School was dedicated by Cardinal Cushing on September 22, 1962. After over fifty years of successes and challenges, we continue to service families from cities and towns including Avon, Abington, Braintree, Bridgewater, Brockton, Canton, Holbrook, Randolph, Stoughton, Taunton and Weymouth.

As a community of learners, our school prides itself in three areas.  St. Joseph School offers early childhood education to children beginning 2 years and 9 months.  Each pre-school classroom is staffed by a licensed lead teacher and para-professional staff member.  Within a safe and caring environment, each child is nurtured and assimilated into the classroom structure needed for success in learning.  Parents are invited to work closely with our staff in building a strong partnership and foundation for future success.

In addition to a traditional academic program that includes music, art, physical education, world language and computer classes, St. Joseph School offers a fully staffed Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) that assists students with learning needs.  Students with IEPs and/or 504 documentation are assisted in meeting individual learning goals with the intent to build confident students able to advocate their needs and to build independence.  In addition, our TLC staff will assist any student in need of intervention and assistance in reaching academic success.  Our staff provides opportunities for families of children with learning needs to network and to provide ongoing support to each other as their children thrive at St. Joseph School.

Finally, and most importantly, St. Joseph School offers numerous opportunity to grow in faith while participating in daily prayer, regular attendance in Liturgy, strong foundation in Catholic doctrine and practice that begins in Pre-School, and required service hours for our middle school students. These experiences are the centerpieces for our Catholic tradition, making us a special school of choice for families in the South Shore area.

Working in partnership with our families, we aim to build a strong foundation in Gospel values and to develop well-rounded graduates ready to meet the challenges of high school and beyond.  Feel free to contact us for a school visit and arrange for your child to Shadow for a day and experience the uniqueness of St. Joseph School.

Thank you and God bless.
