THE CHRISTOPHER MURRAY MEMORIAL AWARD
Christopher Murray was a St. Joseph School graduate, Class of 1997. Following his years at St. Joseph, Chris attended B.C. High and then Bridgewater State College. He was only 22 years old when he was diagnosed with leukemia, and tragically died suddenly. We present a memorial award in his memory to  a student who, like Chris is well-liked by his peers and teachers, has a strong moral character, and who has a passion for athletics. Making the presentation tonight is Chris’s father, Joe Murray. We are please to present the Christopher Murray Memorial Award to Gabriel Fernandez

JOHN HUTCHINSON MEMORIAL AWARD
We are honored to present an award in memory of a very special man. John Hutchinson, beloved late husband of our school secretary, Rosa Hutchinson. Because of Rosa, John was associated with St. Joseph School for many years, but after his retirement he came to work here, and he became an official member of our staff. We all came to know John as a hard worker, but more importantly, we came to appreciate his kindness, his compassion and his consideration of others. John was a quiet, gentle man, with a great sense of humor, but above all, he was a good Christian. We are proud to present the John Hutchinson Memorial Award to a student whom we feel best exhibits these same outstanding qualities.  Ryan LeBrun

THE FACULTY AWARD
Our final award is one that we feel to be the most prestigious of all. This recipient of this award was chosen by all the members of the faculty as a student who best exemplifies the qualities of the “ideal” St. Joseph’s student - that is a student who has integrity and who respects others; one who exhibits a love of learning and a desire to achieve; one who is cooper ative, conscientious, responsible, and who demonstrates a genuine generosity of spirit; one who, above all, exhibits the Christian attitude toward all people that we want a St. Joseph student to epitomize. We are proud to present this award to a very worthy student - Aly Dusaban
